New!

New design (finally)! I changed the name too, which I regret not doing from the beginning.
From now on I'll try to post the new chapters every Thursday, but I will probably post it in the evening, in Swedish time of course.

Chapter 6, Broken promise

*~~Arabella~~*

Cold. White. Silent, not even a gust of wind. Stood up. Looked up. Lots and lots of stars. Wow, the moon was big. Where was Wilma? Hannah? The others? Oh, there was Hannah, not even a meter from her. Wilma was behind her and so were the others. They too stood up and looked around. Their faces expressed mild surprise and wonder, she must’ve looked the same. Glasses took up a handful of snow, stared at it and felt it. Arabella took up snow just as Glasses had done. It would be hard to make a snowball, but she did the best she could and hit Wilma in the chest. She looked down, looked at Arabella and grinned. She herself began to laugh and ducked the snowball coming her way. She would have thrown one back if Blacky hadn’t asked:
“What now?”
No one said a word. It was as if no one had thought of that yet.
“Maybe we should just walk around and look?” Wilma suggested.
“Shouldn’t…shouldn’t we introduce ourselves first?” Hannah stuttered just as she did when they had arrived at Amal Ialad for the first time. No one said a thing. Hannah’s cheeks began to redden but not ‘cause of the cold. “I’m H-hannah and I can change a thing’s shape.” After that they introduced themselves in order. Blacky’s name was Eleanor and she could change herself into anything and get that thing’s, person’s or animal’s ability. She could still think, of course. Then Arabella introduced herself, said that she would rather be called Arbell and with her power she could control or change a person’s feelings, needs and memories. After her, the red head said she was Miranda, the one Ingya had pointed out as the leader, and she could heal and fix things. By the way she said it you could think she wasn’t that happy about her powers. Then it was Wilma, and Arabella listened very closely to what she said, and her power was that she could turn anything into a weapon. Or a shield. Awesome. The girl who looked a little scared was Natalie and she could enhance her physical abilities. The last one was Glasses, her name was Charlotte and she could see anything, even through walls. It didn’t have a wide radius when she had tried it out at home, but then someone said that it might have a wider radius now. Then Arabella said that it probably wasn’t like that since they hadn’t transformed or anything, just switched clothes.
“Great!” Miranda said. “So, do you agree when I say that we should make a promise that we’ll always say everything to each other when we’re in other worlds?” She sounded serious but not boring-serious, that was good. Too serious people were boring.
“…Everything?” Natalie asked.
“Yes,” Miranda answered. “Everything you see, hear, suspect, whatever you think can be of importance, especially if it might be something dangerous or if we are in a dangerous situation. Even if you think it might be nothing.”
“Yeah,” Arabella said. “Wouldn’t want to die, or anything.” Eleanor drew a quick breath, making Arabella look at her. The girl looked up slightly as if the sky would tell her if she was going to die or not.  Arabella herself didn’t want to die, either, and she didn’t need Tenso’s and Ingya’s order ‘bout not to die. She certainly didn’t plan to.
“So. Anyone got an idea in which direction we should go?” Miranda asked. “Maybe you have, Charlotte? With those eyes of yours?” She turned to Charlotte with a warm smile.
“Yes.” She said, not returning the smile. “Please just wait a moment.” She took of her glasses, looked up to the sky and closed her eyes. Her body jerked as if her mind left her. They watched her. After a moment her body jerked again and she opened her eyes.
“It’s fascinating.” Was all she said, couldn’t she motivate why it was so fascinating?
“Did you see something?” Miranda asked. There was no doubt she was the leader. Much time hadn’t gone by, but she had a certain feeling around her.
“Yes, but no. There isn’t anything but the forest and white. There might be a lake to the west and there are cliffs to the south-east, but nothing more interesting than that. I can’t see far.” She sounded cold and confident, not nervous as Arabella had thought she would be.
“I vote for the cliffs.” Wilma said. “They seem more interesting than the lake.”
“I agree.” she said. “We could climb them and it seems like a good place to start.” Cliffs were way more interesting than a lake. She wasn’t so keen ‘bout the forest. Geez, she shouldn’t have played Slender, but it was so fun to be scared like that, especially together with Wilma.
Everyone agreed on the cliffs and they were ‘bout to go when Natalie blurted out:
“I think we should go to the lake!” They turned around and looked at her.
“Why?” Arabella asked with a tone she knew didn’t sound that nice. Everyone agreed on the cliffs and now she wanted to go to the lake? The majority should decide, but ‘cause of the way she said it and that she said it as late as she did she must’ve had a reason. At least she should’ve had.
“I-I...” her eyes darted from one place to another. “I…I have…I just thought it would be better. We might find a city or something.” Her smile was nervous. She acted strange, too. Not that they had known each other for long.
“I didn’t see any cities.” Charlotte said coldly.
“Oh. Right. Otherwise you would have said that.” She spoke fast but she didn’t look scared anymore. “Let’s just go to the cliffs.” Her smile wasn’t sincere this time either. Before Arabella turned she saw Natalie glance towards the forest.

~~*~~

It was pretty nice to just walk, sure the snow was a little too deep, but the surroundings were beautiful. White everywhere, silent except for their footsteps in the snow, talking with Wilma and just being happy about everything. She and Wilma didn’t talk as loud as they used to, even though she didn’t like to admit it, the complete silence made her uncomfortable, so when the wind came she felt relieved. In front of her she heard Hannah and Eleanor talk (“This whole thing is creepy, so silent, at least it seems like we’ll reach the cliffs soon.”), Natalie went in front of them and at the very front was Miranda and Charlotte. It didn’t take long before they saw the cliffs and after that it felt like bit took only seconds to stand next to them. She felt excitement in her chest, what would they find? A city or even the dragon, Tegon? When they got to the cliffs, though, they didn’t look that climbable. If Natalie strengthened her legs she might be able to jump over them, or at least high enough to grab onto something. They weren’t that high. Otherwise Hannah could try to change the shape into something, like stairs. If it was possible, of course.
“So, anyone got any id…” Miranda only got that far before a loud sound came from the cliffs. They all looked up, something was there. She felt her heart throb. Hard. She thought she heard Natalie sob. Then Charlotte yelled:
“Run! There’s something bad up there!” Her voice was so full of horror. Arabella was about to do just that when another yell cut through the air.
“NO! Come to me and form an f*uckin’ circle!” Your words are my law, leader, she thought.
Everyone rushed to get near her, everyone except Natalie.
“What are you waiting for?!” Wilma screamed at her. Now things came from above and landed hard on the snow all around them. People. In white clothes that covered everything except their eyes. The wind picked up even more and the sky said light was ‘bout to come.
“What the hell are you doing?!” Miranda screamed in anger next to her. “Come back! The hell are you thinking?!” She looked at Miranda, looked at the direction she looked in and saw Natalie run away. She could almost not believe what she saw! That b*itch!
“Come b…” Miranda dodged something. Eleanor screamed, war cry or not, she couldn’t tell. So much noise. “Hey!” Then Arabella thought of something. If ‘they’ didn’t notice Natalie, if ‘they’ didn’t capture her, she could help them later on! They weren’t going to make this, too inexperienced, no way. Die? Maybe. NO! She would not!
Miranda, don’t scream again, she thought.
“He…!” Arbella immediately put her hand over the red heads mouth. Stared into eyes that looked back with anger. She probably understood, she didn’t scream anymore. They continued to stare at each other, though, to give each other strength when the chaos slowly died down and until both of their worlds faded and became black.

*~~Natalie~~*
She hadn’t run for that long when she found it, the shelter in the middle of nowhere. It was amazing that she found it, it was almost invisible. She had sat down as close to the opening as possible with her cloak around her knees. She could start a fire, she had found stuff inside the cloak that she hadn’t noticed before, but she didn’t feel like it. A snow storm raged outside and she was cold. She would like to go further in, but she didn’t dare to. While she sat there she began to think about what had just happened. She had noticed people with ill feelings, towards them, in the woods. If they had gone to the lake they wouldn’t have been surprised like that.  If she had said something instead of just going along…she had been afraid! But…She had promised! Promised….She began to sob violently, didn’t care about wiping away the tears as she had done when she had run. They had promised to tell each other everything, it was necessary to be able to trust each other, especially in situations like this! And…And standing your ground and fight and use your powers to help…Common sense! But she had just used her powers to run away. She didn’t know how far she had run, she had run so fast. Where were they now? What did they think about her? Actually she knew what they probably thought…She wished so bad that she had told them, but she was scared they were going to reject her, she shouldn’t be able to sense others feelings! They would probably feel intimidated and feel like she would always be able to know when they lied and they would never know when she did…
What would she do now? She couldn’t stay there forever. She should save them, but she wouldn’t be able to do it alone. Or could she? She stopped sobbing and began to consider it. Maybe she actually could?
“So you’ve finally stopped now, little one?”
Her head shot up and looked inside the cave. She heard breaths, but it was too dark to see anything.
“Can’t you see me?” Her chest hurt, the only thing she heard was her heart’s throbbing. She glanced at the exit, ready to run if necessary.
“Thinking of running, are you?”
She drew a quick breath. She felt her hands become sweaty, her heart pumped so hard it hurt and her body was ready to run away, she felt it. She heard a weird sound, heavy in the air, next something warm and heavy landed on her shoulder and she screamed.
She backed, fell and landed so hard on her back she lost her breath. When she lay there, too chocked to move, the thing had left her shoulder. She saw a fire, just a fire. From its light she could see a long, thin shape with two thinner, long shapes and four shorter things attached to it. The thing was small.
“Get over here” it said. “I bet you’re freezing, are you not?” Go there? No. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no….”I said, get over here, little one.” She got dragged by an invisible force to the fire, her heart began to beat hard again, a lump formed in her throat. Her eyes got teary, she was so, so scared. When got to the fire she saw what the thing was, a dragon. A small dragon. A small dragon.
“You can’t believe what you see? I don’t blame you. Beings like me don’t exist in your world, do they? Warrior of Amal Ialad.”  She just stared at it. Everything felt so strange that she forgot she was afraid. It was a real dragon. An Asian styled one. “You’ve done a horrible thing, girl.” She felt the tears coming and wasn’t in the least surprise he, she assumed it was a he, knew it.
“I…um…I-I…“ What could she say? She knew what she had done and she couldn’t say otherwise.
“Your friends are probably disappointed in you, do you not think so?” He sounded serious now and she felt like a child being told off by her parents.
“Yes…” was all she could say.´
“You plan to rescue them, I hope?” He didn’t sound accusing, he said it like it was obvious, like he didn’t expect her to do anything else.
“Of course!” she said.
There was moment of silence.
“What’s your name, little one?” Little one?
“Uh…Natalie.” You couldn’t stay quiet and ignore him. His presence was big for someone so small.
“Do you know who I am?” She shook her head slowly. She had been so amazed that he was a dragon and hadn’t come that far in her mind yet.
“Whidra Tegon, the dragon of the North, the White Dragon or the Dragon of luck and prosperity.”  She felt her eyes widen and her mouth open. She had found him! And with his help she could free the others! “You’re here to help this world, are you not?”
“Yes.” She said and swallowed.. “But I don’t know how.”
“I’ll help you, little one.”
Silence.
“….Really?” Would he really…? If he did…
“I’ve stayed here for far too long, the land I swore to protect is falling apart. I should have done something long ago, little one.” She looked down so he wouldn’t be able to see her smile. She couldn’t believe her luck, she had hoped but not believed…She would save them and then I wouldn’t be as mad at her anymore! She hoped….
“What are you waiting for, little one?” A voice darker than anything she had ever heard before asked. She looked up and now saw, instead of the small dragon, a big one had taken its place. It had horns and two, long and fairly thick whiskers. The teeth were huge and the legs’ muscles could be clearly seen. She looked at him in wonder, it felt like it wasn’t real, now more than ever. “Get on my back.”

Chapter 6 TEASER

Right now I'm writing on chapter 6, I don't know when it's going to be finished and I feel that I want to post things more than once a week. So then I thought, why not post a few sentences about what I'm writing? Nothing too much of a spoiler, just something to make you look forward to and thinking for yourselves about what will happen. And because I myself like when people give me some clues, personally I think it'll make the whole thing more exciting...or give you false expectations............Anyway, I'll post a little and if you don't like it, please say so and if you like it, please say so, just so I know :)

At least she should've.
“I-I...” her eyes darted from one place to another. “I…I have…I just thought it would be better. We might find a city or something.” Her smile was nervous. She acted strange, too. Not that they had known each other for long.

Chapter 5, the last two

*~~Miranda~~*

"Honey! Look what I found! Won't these fit in the living room?"
She looked up the wallpaper she was thinking of draping her room with and looked at what her dad had found. She froze and just stared at it. It was hideous! It actually looked like rainbow puke.
"Dad. No. You already have green polka dot curtains and a orange, striped rug. And those two patterns shouldn't be put together to begin with, and now you bring this hideous thing." Her dad looked a little discouraged but smiled.
"As honest as always. Well, then. What do you think we should get?"
Through compomises they finally agreed on one. The compromise was that it was just blue. She didn't want to have more patterns and he didn't want something 'boring'.

They had just moved and she didn't want this house to like the one they had before. She shivered just thinking of it. Her dad was an artist who loved color. She had suspected for a long time that it was one of the reasons her mother left them. She did suspect, though, that their house would look different from others. Her dad always said the last few decades had been boring when it came to color so she had always been that kid in school that, at first, had very bright colored clothes. Her mother had forbidden her from ever wearing pink, because of her red hair, so she had looked at the other girls pink clothes and wished for pink stuff to. When she grew older she began to decide herself what she would wear. No more bright colored clothes. And no pink. She had inherited her curly hair from her mother and was glad it wasn't from her father He would certainly have come up with an eye cathching haircut.
She dumped the wallpaper on the floor in what was going to be her new room. The wallpaper she had chosen was a bright green, it would look boring if she didn't get brighter curtains and stuff, though. She went and got the glue, her dad came with her. While they put up the wallpaper he said something strange.
"I hope you won't be as embarrassed to bring friends home now." She stopped doing what she was doing, but didn't answer.
"I'll try to have the door to my own room closed, too." He sounded different.
"That would be good." was all she said.
Silence.
"So, um...what do you think about this town?" she asked to get rid of the silence.

~~*~~

Later when they were on the way to her dad's brother's house, where they were staying, they were quiet as usual. She began to fantasize about the next school year at her new school. All people would like her, she did well in school, had a boyfriend and she and her dad had an awesome relationship. She continued to think about it in bed when she noticed a butterfly fly in through the window. She didn't want it in there and began to try to get it to fly towards the window. Instead of flying to the window it flew up to her eyes and had her full attention. Then it touched her nose and she was no longer in the room.
It then flew out of the window in search of the last of the seven.

*~~Wilma~~*
She had been home for three days, well, now it was four. The first day she had just packed up everything, the second day and night she had been with her boyfriend and now she slept over at Arbell's place. They should have come home earlier, but things didn't work out with the plane and other stuff so they had to stay longer. But now she was finally home with one of her favorite persons. It was well past one a.m, and she heard Arbell's breaths. She felt hot and went out on the balcony. The night was cool with a clear sky. She looked down and suddenly thinking of if she would make it if she jumped down. She would probably not feel so fine afterwards. Arbell would probably not become as hurt as she would, she was a lot fitter.
She needed to go back in and sleep. She didn't feel sleepy, though. It was bright and nice outside, so there was no way she could be tired.
"Geez." she sighed. "I need to sleep."
Her body and brain didn't agree with her. They thought this was a wonderful time to be awake. They didn't care at all that Arbell probably would wake her up if she had to wait too long. She looked at the clock tower. Almost two. Man, this was a really good view. Did Arbell pay for this herself or did her parents send her money? It must be the latter.
A white butterfly landed beside her on the rail. She rested her head in her hand.
"Can't you sleep? Me neither."
It felt good just standing there with the butterfly. It didn't say anything, didn't even have a mind, she betted.
The minutes passed, but the butterfly didn't move. She began to fantasize about her being able to control and talk to animals. That would actually be pretty cool. She suddenly felt tired and decided to go to bed. She yawned.
"Well, butterfly, I'm going t..." she trailed off. The butterfly faced her, still sitting on the rail and moved its wings slowly. She stretched out her hand so it could land on it.
And they were gone.

*~~Eleanor~~*
She woke up. Looked at the clock. Almost five. God. Why did she wake up? She rolled over to the other side and pulled the cover over her head. The light still shone through.
"Come ooon..." she whined. Something flew past her face. Her eyes opened immediately and she sat up fast. Did a moth come through the window while she was asleep? She did not want anything like that in her room when she was sleeping. She looked around and saw it sitting on her alarm clock. It wasn't a moth, though. It was Ingya.
"Here to take me away again?" she asked with a little smile. She touched it and this time she wasn't as shocked as she had been the first time, so she noticed the flicker before arriving at the white hall. This time she wasn't alone when she got here. She saw Tenso, a very tired Charlotte and three other girls she had never seen before. A blond girl and a brown haired girl that talked ("You know, when I woke up because of the door and you weren't there...never do that again! I thought you had fallen from the damned balcony!") and a red head. Ingya wasn't there. Then another girl came. After looking around for a bit, she went over to the two talking girls and the blond seemed to introduce her to the brown haired girl she talked with. Eleanor herself went over to Charlotte.
"Were you asleep, too?" she asked as Charlotte yawned.
"Yes." Eleanor yawned. "As you can see am I still in my pajamas. Oh. So are you." She added a little smile. Eleanor suddenly felt embarrassed, she slept in a nightgown while Charlotte slept in a pajamas. Everyone was wearing pajamas, actually. The blond one just had underwear and a big t-shirt on. Another girl came, she noted the girl was wearing a night gown, too. Ingya was now at Tenso's side.
"Welcome...to you that have come" he said as calm as ever. "You are here now...to fulfill your duty."
A duty they decided she and the other girls should have.
"Ingya...You wanted to tell them, did you not?" He shot the woman a warm smile, which she returned when she stepped forward.
"Well, the time has come for you to go and help." she smiled that big, ridiculously happy smile of hers. Her eyes closed as usual. "You will try and make peace between the two countries Amessia and Rurica." Eleanor guessed they had to do more than try.
"What made them fight?" the blond girl asked.
"In Rurica, also referred to The North, Tegon, the dragon of the north lives. He gives the country happiness and luck, as long as they worship him. Amessia, a fairly small but ambitious country in the north-west decided that they want Tengo's gifts. They invaded Rurica and continue to take more and more land to find him. They have now started to kill the people of Rurica, who have now responded with killing Amessians and their allies in the east. If it escalates, many, many people will die. Every country has allies and the countries allies will kill each other. It has already begun to happen. We can't let it continue any further and that's where you come in." She gestured with her arms. Eleanor's head felt empty.
"So...you're sending us into a war?" the girl with brown hair and the friend of the blond one asked. There was doubt in her voice.
"Yes. But we do not think you will die."
'Do not think'? There was actually a possibility that they could die?
"Um..." someone said. Everyone's heads turned to the red haired girl. She cleared her throat. "How long will it take? I mean, my dad..." she sounded worried. Eleanor felt a little ashamed, she hadn't given that a thought at all.
"We have taken care...of it." Tenso said. The way he passed made it sound like they had "taken care" of it. "Please, do not worry."
"We're going to a cold land, aren't we?" Charlotte asked, she didn't sound that happy. Ingya laughed.
"Yes, yes you are. We do have warm clothes and..."
Suddenly she thought of something. What were they going to eat? And the cold? Warm clothes don't help that much. Sleep? How would they go to the bathroom?
"...other necessary things. We have taken care of it. You won't even need to walk around with those big things on your back that you usually do in your world when going on long journeys."
She had to ask. They didn't expect them to find a town, which there probably won't be many of since they'll be going to the north.
"Excuse me" she began. "What about food and other equipment?"
"It has already been taken care of." Tenso said. I understand your worry...But everything regarding equipment will be fine."
She would believe it when she saw it. She looked at the other girls. They seemed to feel like she did, too. Nervous, a little afraid and worried.
"Now then...if you go through the door behind you..." he lifted his arm in the direction. "..and then go to the left you will find the room with your clothes. You can leave your own clothes here."
"What, really?" the blond said surprised. "No transformation or different exotic clothes?" Ingya giggled and Tenso smiled.
"No, nothing of that sort, but I think you will find the clothes...nice. Now, go. You need to start as soon as possible. When you are done, come back here."
They went to the room and found their clothes. Everyone had the same, white pants, awhite top and a white cloak in a thick material. It had a hood and protection to the hips with two holes, so you could stick the arms out. They had high boots, no heel, and gloves. The clothes were very nice, indeed.
When they had dressed they went out again. Together.
"Your mission is to with the help of your powers create peace. No killing." Ingya said. Eleanor had never heard her with such a serious voice. "In your own way, try. You can do it, do not doubt yourselves. Help and support each other. Do. Not. Die."
Die?
"How will we create peace?" the brow haired, round faced girl asked.
"In your own way." she answered.
Die?
"Talk with people, find the best ways. Now come with me, you need to go."
Die?
They followed Ingya and Tenso went somewhere else. Die?
They came into another hall with many open doors, they went into one and inside there was a mirror. A big one. Ingya did something and the mirror showed a dark, snowy landscape.
"Go through here and you will come to Rurica. Miranda is the leader and good luck!"
No one seemed to want to go through, so Ingya took them one by one by the shoulder and pushed them, not hard, into the snow. It was cold.

It's almost here

Hello, I'm still working on chapter 5. It WILL be out before the week-end, probably on Thursday. I would like to work on it more, but you know. School.
I've found that I really like to write this story. It's really, really fun. When I sit down to write the words just come flowing, but I have to figure out the sitation first, of course.

I won't update this blog so often, but never think that I will just give up on it. If I for some reason do, I will write the ending I've planned. That won't happen for...well, a long time.

10.10.12

Their first adventure

As the title of the post says, they are soon going to have their first adventure! :) The next chapther will be the last one before it and I have actually come up with a story for it :) It will stretch over chapters, of course, and hopefully be exciting. What kind of world do you think it will be? :)

Chapther 4, White wings again

*~~Eleanor~~*

Just outside of town there were big houses, in one of those houses a family lived, a mother, a father and a daughter who didn't want to play Mozart on the piano anymore, becuase she found it boring. The family did also have a dog that liked to disturb the daughter when she played the piano. The little family was rich and had lots of servants, that didn't want the daughter to be independent. The daughter...

"Eleanor!" the woman's angry voice cut through the air like a razorblade. The daughter pressed her fingers on the piano keys, hard. She felt the anger coming. She turned her head, composed, not showing what she truly felt, just like she had been taught. The woman walked across the garden, on the stone paths she had so carefully decided to buy last year, her face was trying to hide her anger. "Eleanor!" she said once again when she was in front the daughter.
"Yes, mother?" she said, not bothering to smile or hide the anger in her voice completely just to anger the woman even more. When Eleanor was small she had been afraid of moments like this and always tried to be perfect. She tried to be perfect now, too. Just not when her mother wanted.
"Why didn't I hear any music?" Fake sweet voice. "I was doing important work, you don't want mummy to fall behind, do you?" Fake smile.
"No, mother." They stared into each other's eyes, challenging each other.
"Then why did you stop?"
"I...guess I got lost in thoughts." She was so not going to get out this in one piece. Her mother almost lost control.
"You can't...!" She took a deep breath and started over in her fake voice. "How many times have I told you to focus? You can't be good if you don't focus."She sighed. "What am I going to do with you? You even wanted to go to that commoner school! Can you imagine what everyone will say?" Fake non wrinkly face, fake lips, fake breasts. "They will think you are poor!" Fake eyelashes, fake hair, fake nose. "That weare poor!" Fakefakefakefakefake.... "Eleanor, are you listening to me?" She sighed again. Then there was the sound of a car in the driveway. "I can't deal with this right now. Just go." With pleasure.
As she walked over the grass which she knew she shouldn't, she heard her mother's fake voice calling out "Mrs. Lark!" and another one, as fake, answer "Mrs. Ritchie!" She let her hair out. It tangled in her hands and she swore she would cut it soon. She went to the pavilion in the far end of the, big, garden. No one except she went there anymore so she went there when she wanted to be alone. She had spent a lot of time there the last few days. Not because she had a bad time at home or anything like that, but because she had discovered that she could do things. Different things. She had really gotten the hang of it, too. She could transform her arm now, the left one in case something went wrong, a lot faster, too. Usually she turned it into a dog leg just because she liked dogs, it felt really weird. Not to mention how it looked.
While she sat there, looking at her dog leg and just thinking about how she would look if she turned her whole body into a dog, she saw something small and white moving in the corner of her eye. She turned her head and saw a white butterfly.
"What the..." she had never seen such a butterfly before. She reached out to touch it with her right arm, not thinking about turning the left one back. The butterfly didn't fly away as butterflies usually do, no matter how close she got. As soon as her nail touched it's wing,

she was gone.

*~~Natalie~~*
She wasn't far from home now. It was pretty late, but it was still not dark outside. She had seen a movie with her friends, Sophie and Laura. They had been friends for as long as she could remember. Sometimes she thoughtabout how amazing it was. Amazing indeed..."Girls can't be three" her aunt had told her, Natalie had proven her wrong, though. She was good friends and happy with Sophie and Laura. Happy. No, she shouldn't think like that. Of course she was happy being with them, she liked them and they were friends. Then why couldn't she tell them about that?
As she walked down the streets she noticed that there almost weren't any people out. She was surprised, because it was still warm. She stopped at a crossing and a car drove past, someone with red hair that gleamed strongly in the sun rode in it. Then she walked over. She rounded a corner and bumped into two girls. She looked up a bit to say 'sorry', but stopped when she saw who she bumped into. Hannah. Sophie's favorite teasing object. Hannah was with a taller girl Natalie didn't recognize. She felt hatred and anger growing in Hannah, her eyes were locked in Natalie's and she found it really hard to look down, mumble 'sorry' and go away. She felt the piercing look in her back when she walked away.

Now she just wanted to get home. Not because she had met Hannah, but because she felt a big change was coming, and she didn't like change. As she got closer to her home, the feeling became stronger. She trusted it. It had been right many times. That didn't stop her from wondering what was about to happen, though. Would she be hit by a car? Or stabbed and robbed? She knew that happened sometimes. She was in so deep thoughts she hardly noticed the pure white butterfly on the bench she hurried by. She began to walk faster now and various scenarios played in her head. She glanced at the white butterfly that flew right next to her face, but didn't dare to stop. It was getting ridiculous.
Then, suddenly, she felt something. Someone, very close to her, was very annoyed. She stopped and looked around. No one was there. The feeling didn't go away, though, and she began to feel a great power, too. A white butterfly flew right past her. She hardly noticed it this time, either. When she stood there trying to think who could be causing the feeling and forgetting about the scenarios she had just had in her head, the butterfly jerked her from her thoughts.
It attacked her. Flew in her face, around her head, dodged her hands. She couldn't catch it and it didn't fly away. She thought it was strange and annoying. More annoying, though, so she took up a magazine from her purse and lifted her right arm to strike the butterfly that was right i front of her face. Then her hand let go of the magazine, that fell down and made a disturbingly loud noise on the empty street, and her arm fell down her side. She stared at the butterfly and it stared back. This was the oddest thing she had ever experienced and she had experienced a lot of odd things. She felt the feeling again, stronger than ever. She didn't pay much attention t it. It felt like the butterfly almost hypnotized her. Her arm rose to her face and her index finger, as an invitation for the butterfly to land on. It did.

All that was left on the street was an astrology magazine.

*~~Charlotte~~*
She sat on the porch and played memory by herself. She liked to play memory, just for fun and, of course to test her memory. Her memory was excellent, she didn't need to be told that. Sometimes she played with her big sister, but mostly she played by herself. She sighed and picked up the memory. She was done. She put her elbow on the table and rested her head in her palm and began to look out of the window instead, fantasizing about what would happen when they went to Australia later this summer. Maybe she would meet a guy that would be nice. No. He would probably just fall for her beautiful sister. She almost had the perfect body and a nice face. There was nothing wrong with her brains or personality, either. People always commented how nice she looked, while Charlotte listened in a corner, her dark brown hair in her face. Charlotte wished someone, except her family, just once would say 'wow, you're beautiful' and look at her, too. Or did she? It would probably be embarrassing to receive that much attention. She wasn't known for her people friendliness, either, so no one would come near her in the first place. Even her relatives had begun to give up on her, they asked the usual questions, tried to talk with her, tease her sometimes (which made it worse), but then left her alone.

It had become quite windy outside now and even though it was almost half past eleven it wasn't dark. It wasn't cold either, they had all their windows open, hoping to let in some cool air. The house was a sauna in the summer, especially the living room. The house wasn't built so well, the living room's big windows let in the sun from morning until evening. The porch was mostly in shadow, though. The flag on the flagpole moved gently in the wind, the clouds had started to become a little pink, it was fairly silent. Only the sounds of a warm summer day. She leaned back in her chair, looking up at the roof instead. How she wanted summer to come to an end. She had done nothing these few last days and she really longed for Australia. She sighed again and then decided to play with her eyes, so she took off her glasses. Yesterday she had discovered that she could look up at the ceiling, but if she concentrated and did this thing with her eyes, she could see the garden. If she tried really hard she could see the second floor. After she had played for a while she turned her head lazily to the window again. It wasn't windy anymore, and a white butterfly flew in through one of the open windows. She watched it. It was white, slightly bigger than most butterflies and didn't seem to be afraid. It flew straight towards her and landed on the table, moving its wings like butterflies usually do when they sit still. She continued to stare at it and realised she couldn't take her eyes from it. She was almost paralyzed, she couldn't even put on her glasses. Her left hand began to move and reached for the butterfly, her right clutched around the glasses. Thoughts ran through her head. What was this butterfly? Was it poisonous? Why else was she like paralyzed? She didn't have the time to think too much, though, because as soon as she had touched the butterfly,

they were gone

The Tomorrow when we had already met: Chapther 3, The stone lily

 *~~Hannah~~*

She opened the window and felt the warm air. Seemed like it was going to be a warm day again. It felt like nothing could ruin the day. Maybe she should grab a book and go read in the park? She decided to do so, she had really gotten to like this book,A Game of Thorns, which happened to be about another world. Now a days she found herself really into fantasy. No wonder, she had experienced something out of a fantasy book herself just a few days ago. She wanted, really wanted, it to be a dream, but she knew it wasn't. She didn't want to think about it, it was scary. She had never thought there were other worlds besides her own, now she knew...had been told...that there was not just one more world than hers, there were many others. A white woman had said she had powers, too. She had actually tried it once, the day after. It had worked. She got so scared she hadn't tried it again. There had been another girl in that white place, too. She had seemed to believe in it more than Hannah. Well, Hannah did want to believe, really wanted to, but she found it almost impossible, even though she had seen herself that she actually had powers. It was too out of this world to be true. The woman had said that Hannah and the other girl should get to know each other. Hannah supposed that would be good, if they now were going to...fight...together, it felt weird to just think it, but neither one of them had made contact with the other. Hannah didn't plan to, she didn't even know the girl's name. What if she didn't remember a thing? That would be incredibly embarassing. Who was she kidding? That wasn't why she hadn't tried to contact the other girl. Either way, she was going to read the book and try not to think about anything else. Just as she was about to go, she heard someone call her name. She turned around to the open window, and below on the street stood the other girl. With her legs apart, a big smile on her face one hand on the hip and the other waving above her head, like Hannah would see her better. The girl yelled her name again. She felt her face get red. What was the girl thinking?! She was about to yell again when Hannah stuck her head out.
"I'll come! I'll come! Just wait a second!" She could imagine how she looked like, red and desperate.
"Great!" she yelled back.
Nothing could ruin this day, huh? How wrong she had been. She hurried downstairs and locked the door behind her. Her family wasn't home, her brother had slept over with some friends and her parents visited her mother's mother and father. She met up with the girl, panting slightly. The girl smiled at her. Hannah didn't feel like smiling.
"You look awfully sullen" the girl said, smiling even bigger, which Hannah had believed was impossible.
"How did you find out where I live?" Hannah said, not getting any happier.
"Well" she said scratching the back of her head, her smile faded. "It was actually pretty easy. Ingyacame to me in a dream last night, she said Tenso wasn't that happy that we hadn't talked yet..." A shudder seemed to go through her body" She then showed me how I would find you, and that's the short story of how I found you. I sure hope you haven't forgotten anything, that would make this conversation extremely awkward. Oh, yeah, that's right. It already is, if you don't talk soon." The confidence in her voice was back, and her voice was like acid in the end. Then her face lit up in a smile again. "Nah, just kidding. But seriously, it's getting awkward. "Hannah sighed. She didn't wish for any of this, all she wanted right now was to read the book.
"I guess you're here to say that we must practice, or something, right?" She tried to sound as unwilling as she could, then maybe the almost annoyingly happy girl in front of her would get the hint and go. It didn't seem like she did, though, or she just ignored it, she didn't seem stupid.
"Yep, you don't happen to know a "people empty" place? I'm really new here, so I don't really know this town yet, ya know?" She said it all very fast, like she was nervous Hannah would cut her off and say she didn't want to see her again. Well, shedid think the girl was a little rude, she had just showed up outside her window, of all places, they barely knew each other, either. Hannah didn't even remember the girl's name! Unwillingly, she answered.
"Yeah, I do know a place. The forest just outside of town should do. It's not far, we don't need to take the bus or anything." She didn't show even a hint of a smile, but the girl's face still lit up.
"Really? Great! Let's go! Oh, and by the way, you have forgotten my name, haven't ya?"
"...No" Of course she had, 'they' had just mentioned it once or twice. Besides, she had never been that good with names.
"You have! How rude!" The girl said jokingly as they began to walk. "Oh well, it's Arabella. Arabella Joy. Since it's really girly, please call me Arbell."
Hannah just had to laugh. It was so funny, a name as Arabella didn't suit the girl at all, she was right, though, it was too girly for her. Arbell was too. Arabella looked questioning at her.
"Arbell? Isn't that feminine, too? If you don't want to have a girly name shouldn't you call yourself Ar, or something?"
Arabella laughed, too. Hannah was actually a little surprised, she had thought the girl would pout.
"I have thought of it, but I don't want to be mistaken for a pirate." They laughed even more.
It seemed like the day wasn't ruined after all.

~~*~~

"Have you...tested it?" Hannah asked when they had reached the forest about 10 minutes later.
"Tested what?" Arabella turned to her. The green from the leaves and the light from the sun made her blond hair look like something from another world. Hannah got a little annoyed. She would have preferred not to ask a second time, it was embarrassing.
"You know what."
"Well..." she scratched the back of her head. "No, not really. Actually, I decided not to think about it." She looked away, like she, too, found it embarrassing. It wasn't something that should happen, after all.
"Not to think about it?" She didn't understand, couldn't she have gone against Ingya? "But you came to me?"
"Yes..." She cleared her throat. "Well...Um...I wouldn't have done that if Ingya hadn't come to me in that dream. She showed me her memory of Tenso when he had said it...He was pretty pissed." She shuddered. "I thought he was calm.
"Are-are you serious? For real? That was the only reason? You seemed to believe in it more than I did back there!"
"Yeah, but then I got home and thought about it, 'No way that it can be true' I thought. Besides, I don't have anyone to try the power on, I live alone, and my power, it feels so weird to say it, needs people for it, ya know?"
"What could you do, again?" She felt something in her chest. She recognized it. It was excitement. Even though she felt it was incredibly hard to believe, she wanted it to be true.
"Control people's feelings, needs and memories. Awesome, right? What's yours?" Hannah had no idea how she could say it with a straight face.
"I...I can change the shape of things." She felt her face get warm. "Not as impressive as yours." She added. She couldn't fight or do anything important with her power. It felt like she had it for fun and fun only. Arabella could fight. Heck, she couldcontrolpeople. "I tried it once. I made a notebok look like a bed. It looked so freaky that I lost control and it turned back."
Arabella laughed. Hannah looked angrily at her. It wasn't funny. It had been really scary.
"How did it look like?" She looked so curious Hannah felt as if she couldn't refuse.
"Imagine a bed that's as small as a notebook, and a notebook that has the exact same shape as a bed."
"I would have loved to see that!" She looked up, as if she would see it. Hannah thought that was a little stupid.
"Whatever." She didn't want to show it anymore. It felt like she was some kind of freak being forced to entertain. Her sour voice made Arabella look at her.
"Aw, come on" she said, as she entered Hannah's personal zone and put her arm around her neck. "Did I hurt your feelings? Sorry, if that's the case, but seriously. I would love to see that. Besides, I'll see it sooner or later, whether you want it or not." Well. That was true. "Or do you want me to start?"
"....No." She didn't want the girl to think she was weak. "I'll go first." The place where Arabella's arm had been was still warm.
"Great!" Arabella lit up in a smile again and took her arm away. "Guess we should start small. Wanna what Ingya said?"
"You mean turning a tree into a flower shape?" She said in a doubting voice. "How about a rock instead? I don't feel ready for a tree."
"Sure! Do what you feel is good!" She looked at her like a child look at Christmas presents. For some reason, she didn't mind.
"Well...." she said awkwardly. "I guess should get started."
She began to stare at a rock next to her, intensively, like she had done with the notebook, imagined a lily, getting a little annoyed that nothing happened. She glanced at Arabella, she was looking intensively at the rock, too. No! No! The focus should be on the rock. Why isn't anything happening? Something should have happened by now, it went faster when she were at home....If only she hadn't lost her concentration befo...Nononono! Focus! More intense staring. Then, something happened. The rock began to change, to almost bubble. More bubbling, and then...things really began to happen. The rock became longer, wider at some parts and slimmer in some, it was as astonishing to see as the first time. The petals began to form and then a lily in stone stood before them. It wasn't perfect, but she knew she had done a good job. She glanced at Arabella, who leaned forward so much, Hannah was sure she was going to fall, her face showed her surprise, when she went forward and touched the flower gently, gently, she looked up at Hannah with something that looked like awe and admiration in her light blue eyes. Hannah couldn't help to feel proud. She was quite astonished herself, she had made a rock look like a flower. Shehad done it! And someone else thought she was incredible, which she actually was right now. She felt great.
"That was so awesome." Arabella breathed staring at the lily. She got over it pretty fast, though. Too fast, Hannah thought. "It was a little slow, though. But that must be because its only the second time." Did she really have to be so honest? Hannah wished she could say something...less honest. Maybe said how nice the lily looked. She knew Arabella liked it, but she wanted to hear it.
"Yeah...It was. Could you show yours?"
"You're ready to be my test subject, then?" She smiled teasingly.
"Uh..."
"You know if you want to see, you actually have to feel, since I need a living human to demonstrate" That was true, but...
"Yeah, I know, it just feels weird to experience it instead of seeing it...."
"But you'll be my test subject?"
"...Yes" She really, really wanted to see (well, feel) it. "Just please don't call it test subject." Arabella smiled again.
"Fine then, person who has first class tickets. Now, let's see what I can do..." She sounded confident, but Hannah saw her eyes, the trembling hands and the slightly shinier face. Arabella stared at her, trying to do something, what Hannah didn't know. The girl's staring made her uncomfortable, she had never really liked when people stared at her, just presenting things in class required courage. As Arabella tried to make things work, Hannah started to think what she would do. Would she change any of Hannah's memories? She couldn't see Hannah's other memories, right? What if something went wrong? What would happen then? She didn't feel anything. She could feel Arabella's stare and almost feel her determination. She would have liked to glance at Arabella, but thought it would be awkward. Unlike Hannah, she wasn't annoyed. Suddenly, she felt different. She forced herself to glance at Arabella, a smile played on the girl's lips, she didn't tremble anymore and her eyes looked almost wild. Anyone could tell she felt the power running through her. Hannah felt happy for her. Really happy, actually. She felt happy for herself, too. She had created a lily out of stone! She smiled, big, and couldn't stop. Her chest got warm and her brain had a hard time trying to figure out what the heck happened. Her cheeks began to hurt and she had a hard time standing still. Then the happiness started to disappear and soon it was gone. The girls looked at each other and began to laugh. They had done it! They did actually have powers! They began to talk in each other's mouths and soon it was almost evening.

*~~Tenso~~*

He was in the more holy part of the castle, in one the Mirror rooms. There was no door, just a hole in the wall, and no windows. The walls were empty, except for the big mirror that took up a whole wall, from floor to ceiling. He watched the two girls' joy and remembered his own. He made the mirror change, he wanted to leave the girls alone, and watched one of the girls he would soon meet. Her long, black hair was up in a ponytail and her fingers moved gracefully across the piano, her eyes and mind was somewhere else, far, far away. Through the mirror he heard the piece she was playing, no one could deny her talent for the instrument. He made the mirror change again, this time it showed a brown haired girl with two other girls that looked like her friends. The brown haired girl, however, didn't laugh as her friend laugh, didn't smile as her friends did. He made the mirror blank again and went to find his right hand. He found her sitting by the holy pond, just as he knew she would. When she heard his steps she turned around, her eyes opened, like they always were by the pond. They were as mesmerizing as always.
"Come" he said. "It's time to bring ad great the two new ones." She rose and walked to his side. Together they walked back to the Mirrors. They went to the biggest one, she changed, disappeared and he walked to the hall by himself.

The Tomorrow when we had already met: Chapther 2, Warriors of Amal Ialad

*~~Arabella~~*
When the second girl had arrived, the young man turned around and faced her again. She looked at the girl next to her, Wilma had shown Arabella who she was in her school catalog, Wilma had said she was shy and a little weird, Sarah, her name was, if Arabella remembered right. Anyways, the young man was now smiling, even though there still was a hint of sadness in the grey eyes. The woman, who had been a butterfly just a second ago, could only be described as white, and not to mention beautiful. She had her eyes closed and didn't smile.
"I...am Tenso", the young man said. "And this...is Ingya. She is also known as the Messenger, or the White Woman." Arabella looked at her, it was creepy how white she was.
"And...and where-where are we?" Sarah said. Arabella was surprised she opened her mouth, Wilma had said she almost never talked.
"I suppose you would like to know that, would you not." Tenso said.
"Y-ye-yes, I-we wou.." her round face became very red, so she must have realized she didn't have to answer the question. Arabella almost felt bad for the poor girl, she was so awkward. Tenso just smiled kindly.
"We are...as I said before, in Amal Ialad. The bridge that unites all of the worlds, you may say. I have the highest rank, so you might say I am the leader. And now...I will tell you why you are here."
He looked at them. Arabella felt that whatever he said, she wouldn't be surprised. A butterfly had taken her to a castle on clouds, and the butterfly had turned into a woman. Then a young man, that always seemed to pause at the beginning of his sentences, said they were at a bridge that united all of the worlds. Worlds. In plural.
"You are here....because you have been chosen to become the Warriors of Amal Ialad." he said. Ingya smiled at them for the first time.

Silence.

"Lol, wut?" was all Arabella could think of to say.
"Excuse me...?" Tensos said, uncomprehending.
"It's just a thing you say...." she said, a little embarrassed. If she hadn't been so confused, she would have said something different. Somethingcompleatlydifferent.
"In any case, to be Warriors of Amal Ialad...you have to have powers. Which you now have." he continued.
Powers?
"Ingya....if you could be so kind.."
Ingya stepped forward and smiled again.
"Do you want to find out your powers now?" she asked innocently, her smile teasing.
She so knew they wanted to know now.
"But is it not it better to let you find out for yourselves? What do you think, Tenso?" she turned to him, he looked at her tiredly in a way that said 'just leave me out of this'.
If only she could say it, already.
"But do you even want to know?"
"Oh, 'course not." Arabella said. "Why would I want to my own, rare, special, awesome power?"
"Someone is a little annoyed." She answered teasingly. Arabella could almost feel one of her veins popping. "Want me to tell you first? Arabella?"
She became a little surprised that the woman knew her name. That was strange, since she wasn't that surprised that she was on a cloud somewhere. The whole thing was so unreal, that it probably hadn't sinked in yet.
"Should I take your silent as a 'yes'? Well, I will."
Thank you, for ignoring what I want. But yeah, I would like to know first.
"You, Arabella, can now control people's feelings, needs and memories. You can change them, make them, erase them and control them." she smiled big. "Quite the power, do you not think so?"
Arabella agreed wholeheartedly. Although she was a little disappointed she didn't get a power that made her physique better and she didn't really know if she wanted to control people's feelings and such. At least she couldn't control people fully. She was happy, tough, but since everything felt so unreal it was just a little feeling. Actually, she doubted this whole thing, but she thought it was so fun to hear she had powers that she didn't really care.
Ingya now turned to the other girl. Arabella had almost forgotten she was there.
"Now then, Hannah"
I thought her name was Sarah....Well, wasn't that far off!
"Your powers are not bad, either" Hannah, who had been sitting on her knees, now stood on them. If you looked at her face, you could have thought she was a little kid that heard Christmas would come early. "You are able to change things, nonliving things." Hannah's greenish eyes looked like plates, and her mouth was like a small 'o'. Her already long neck had become even longer. "You cannot change a tree into a flower, but you can change the tree into a flower shape. Or a flower into a tree shape, if you would like to see the strangest flower anyone has ever seen." She smiled big, again. Hannah's eyes shone like stars.
"With these powers" Tenso said. "You will help the worlds, save them and sometimes help and cooperate with the other Warriors of Amal Ialad." Other Warriors? Arabella started to wonder if this whole thing wasn't a joke, Sar-Hannah looked a little doubtful now, too. Other warriors? Save worlds? What? Arabella thought everything became weirder and weirder. Actually, she thought the feeling could be compared to the one she had when she had seen "the moonwalking-bird" for the first time. It was fun to look at it and made her happy, but it seemed weird and almost to good too be true.
"Now...I think you have received the most important information" he said in his special way. "I suggest you practice a little, you will most certainly need it."
Arabella and Hannah looked at each other.
"You should get to know each other some more, too" Ingya said. "But now it is time for you to go back home. Isn't it, Tenso?" She turned to Tenso with a big, big smile on her face and her face shone, she acted like she was anticipating their journey home a little too much. Arabella suddenly wondred how they would get home. To be honest, she didn't know, or rather understood, how she had come here. According to Ingya's reaction, she didnt know if she wanted to know.
Ingya still looked at Tenso with the same expression. He looked at her and sighed.
"I suppose so" he said. Ingya's face lit up even more, if that was possible.
She took out something from her sleeve, a little fabric bag, and put her hand into it. When the hand was out again, there was goldish powder in it
"If you could stand closer to each other" she said.
Arabella and Hannah stood up and took a side-step closer to each other. They were confused, though. How could she know they weren't standing next to each other? Her eyes were closed! Ingya laughed, a high, happy laugh, not a silent, cute one that you'd expect her to do.
"It looks like you really dislike each other! You have to stand closer, you have to touch each other."
So they moved closer until their shoulders touched.
"I wish I would be there to see your expressions" she sighed, and moved the hand with the powder to her mouth.
"Wait, wh-" Arabella didn't come any longer, because Ingya blew the powder on them and then Arabella sat in a really strange position in her chair on the balcony. She sat up properly, picked up the block of paper from the balcony floor, started fanning herself with it again and tried to think about what the heck just had happened.

The Tomorrow when we had already met: Chapther 1, The Beginning to Everything

"What is your wish?"
"My wish?...That's right. I have a wish. Then...Then I wish that you...do so that we never get these powers."

*Way earlier*

*~~Arabella~~*
The Holiday had started just a few days ago, but she was already bored. Wilma was on vacation with her family, and wouldn't be back until the day after tomorrow. She had finished packing up all her things, and should be cleaning, but it was too hot for that. She should also pack up her clothes and call her family and tell them that she was almost done, but since the phone lay inside the apartment and she was on the balcony fanning herself with a block of paper, she didn't bother. She had moved to the town where her bestie Wilma lived, to start to the same school as her and to get away from her family. She and Wilma had be friends for almost 4 years, they had first met in a hotell on The Sunny Beach, and when they found out they lived relatively close to each other, they dared to become friends. It didn't take long before they conisidered themselves as besties. Now Wilma had gone back to The Sunny Beach with her family, while she, Arabella, had to be cooked alive, because her AC didn't work yet.
"I really can't take the heat well" she said to herself. The clocktower showed it was nearly four o'clock, and it was still way too hot. Her apartment lay on the sunny side, so it wasn't much cooler inside, and even though she had braided her light hair in a thick braid, that fell over the balcony rail, her neck was sticky with sweat, her whole body was sticky, now that she thought about it. She often cursed her thick hair in the summer, but in the winter she thought it was a warm blessing. She liked the winter, partly because that's when her birthday was. A white butterfly landed on the rail near her, and just sat there. Thas was strange, since everyone knows butterflies always fly away before you can get a good look at them. She stopped fanning herself and looked at it. It's not everyday you see a white butterfly.

It didn't move.

"Well, why don't you fly away?" she asked it. "Butterflies always fly away. Don't ya know that?"
She went back to fanning herself, but after a while she stopped. The butterfly still looked at her. She thought it felt weird. They looked at eachother a little longer, at least she thought it looked like it looked back at her. She reached out to touch it, since it didn't fly away she might be able to touch it. She had just touched a butterfly once, when she was little, and was keen on touching one again. When she reached out her finger, slowly and carefully, it flew and landed on her finger.

And then she was gone, and the butterfly finally flew away.

*~~Hannah~~*

"What would you like to order, miss?" the waitress asked her.
"A coke and a piece of cheesecake, please" she answered.
"I will be back in just a minute" She smiled and walked away.
Hannah leaned back in her chair, looked around her, and started to fidget with her necklace. It had an emerald stone it, she had bought it for a good price a couple of years ago, and wore it every day. Around her at the tables on the grass sat a few other people, all of them in the shadow, like she herself did. Usually the places in the sun would all be occupied, but no one wants to sit in the sun on a day like that. The waitress came back with her coke and cheesecake, with a smile. Hannah smiled back and started to eat. While she ate she listened to the young couple in front of her. The female voice seemed to belong to Sophie Hope. They had "known" each other for years, had always been in the same class. Until now, Hannah hoped. Sophie had been bullied when they were little, for her name, Sopie Hope, which the other kids used to turn into Sophie Soap. They had all stopped, though, when Sophie had started dressing and acting like she did now, and Sophie had become one of the more popular girls, who Hannah didn't like, and who didn't like Hannah. Why? She didn't know, not that she cared either, according to her, Sophie didn't know how to insult people. Anyways, Sophie seemed to be here with her new boyfriend, and since they sat with their backs towards Hannah, they didn't notice she was listening to them.
"Who was that girl you talked to before?" Sophie asked.
"She was just a friend, nothing to worry about" he answered.
"She didn't seem like just a friend." Sophie said surly. "And the way she looked at you...."
"She was just a friend" He assured her. "You know I only love you, angel." He kissed her and she giggled.
Hannah wouldn't have been surprised if that girl had been more of a friend, Sophie used to pick guys like that. Unfortunately she dropped her spoon down on the plate and the sound it made was loud enough for the couple to turn around, see her and understand that she must have heard what they had just said.
"Did you listen?" the guy demanded, with a voice that was supposed to sound a little dangerous.
Sophie seemed like she was going to spit out one of her "insults", but Hannah managed to start talking first.
"Of course I listened" she said with a sweet smile. She could see their faces tense. "I listened to the birds. They sing so sweet melodies, I didn't hear a word you were saying." Since she had already finished her cheesecake, she stood up, and before they could see through her obvious lie, she added "Not that I would want to listen to you, anyway" She smiled even sweeter to cover up what she had said, and left. She didn't feel like talking much today and she doubted that she could, but it would have been nice to sit in the shadow a little longer, and it was a shame about the coke.

She planned to go to the park, and just sit under a tree. She didn't want to go home, the house would probably be as hot as it was outside. She pondered if she should go and buy a coke before she went to the park, but since she didn't have any more money on her, she had no choice.
When she passed the last corner before the park, a white butterfly suddenly flew right in front of her face. Already annoyed from earlier events, she tried to wave it away, but the butterfly was more persistent than any butterfly she had ever met. She tried to wave it away again, but it didn't fly away this time either, which she thought was strange since butterflies usually fly away almost as soon as you look at them. Then something even stranger happened. The butterfly flew up to her eye level. She became surprised, and raised her hand to touch it. She had never touched a butterfly before, and she felt happy that a butterfly for once didn't fly away. As it landed on her finger, her eyes never let go of it.

And then she was gone, and the butterfly flew away.

*~~Tenso~~*

The girl in front of him looked like she wanted to be anywhere else but where they were. He couldn't really blame her, this place was nothing like anything she had ever seen. Houses on a cloud. He waited for Ingya, the Messenger, to bring the second girl, and then he would tell them what had happened to them, and what they could expect to happen to them in the future. He turned around, making his back face the girl and his head face the view of the cloud he lived on. The girls weren't going to have the easiest life, he knew that, but it was something that was needed to be done.
"Tenso." A female voice said. He turned around and faced the White woman, also known as Ingya, the Messenger or the Woman with many names, as she was called among her friends.
He turned around to see that the second girl had come. Her cute face looked like a question mark, he smiled. Remembering how he had once felt.
With Ingya beside him, he said:
"Welcome, to Amal Ialad."

First post

Well. Hello. First post. (Yay!) On this blog I plan to post a story I'm making. The tomorrow when we had already met, and other related things. I have already written three chapthers, which I hope you'll like to read :)
Oh, and the story is taking place in a made up country, though it won't be many differences.
